Emily was a student pursuing a Masters degree in Chemical Engineering. She previously worked on the role of mechanics in human tissue development and wound healing, using confocal microscopy, particle tracking, and traction force microscopy. Her current focus is on pharmaceutical formulations, specifically the mechanism behind an observed drug tablet dissolution phenomenon. To study this she has been utilizing Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), Raman spectroscopy, and BET surface analysis. Emily is from Helena, Montana.
